We will BEE returning to the Hive at Ketcha Outdoors (Camp Ketcha) in 2023. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for fun and fabulousness on Thursday before Halloween, on October 26th 2023 for Scarborough's funniest fundraiser. Players in teams of three will test their trivia knowledge and compete for bragging rights! Maine Community Bank (Biddeford Savings) will host the Game Hive where you can try your luck for prizes, Our talented caterers Churchill Events will offer delicious catered treats, and the swinging sounds of our hometown "Crooners" will set the mood. Emcee Blake Hayes, our Referee Dwayne, and our panel of esteemed judges "the Nurses" will take center stage as usual! Proceeds from this marquis event help us keep our neighbors warm, feed hungry families, and enable us to lend a hand to a neighbor going through a rough patch. team registration and sponsorship info very very soon! This year we are very pleased to be awarding Jim Conroy our coveted "Bees-knees Biz-niss Buzz Award" for his outstanding commitment to community and generosity to Project GRACE. Many know Jim well: and although he keeps a low profile, he has been making a difference to our community for decades. Jim and his team at Conroy’s Oil have saved the day for us countless times, heading forth into the cold, no matter the weather, to help us keep our neighbors warm. Southern Maine Agency on Aging's team "Bee a SMAArty Pants" won Most Enthusiastic Supporters and cPort Credit Union's "Basic BeeWitches" won Best Team Costume. Our esteemed Judges, "The Nurses", have a sweet tooth, and a liking for bling! They are open to bribery, too.... or they might bee... ; ) You and your friends can pick up some "Bee Bling" or some "Bee Bucks" to try to win a little extra love from the Judges! And we'll love ya for sure, because, hey, it's a fundraiser, and every little bit helps us help our neighbors through a tough spot. Get some bling!
Returning 2018 champions, O'Reilly's Cure, are facing some tough competition this year from past champions like Maine POPS Concert Band, the Scarborough Public Library and plenty of other SMAArty Pants determined to win bragging rights! 25 teams are competing for trophies and bragging rights, including Best Team Name! Help the judges decide - vote now through 8pm on Thursday! PS - our esteemed judges are open to bribery! Sweeten your favorite team's chances: get some Bee Bling or Bee Bucks!
